Bruins’ Fraser Minten, James Hagens Matter Toward Simon Edvinsson Trade

The Boston Bruins could target Detroit Red Wings defenseman Simon Edvinsson, who is reportedly discontent with his contract and currently away from his team. An analysis by Daily Faceoff's Matt Larkin highlights that while Boston needs an elite defenseman to complement Charlie McAvoy, young forwards Fraser Minten and James Hagens would represent a steep asking price in any potential trade.

Should Boston refuse to trade Minten or Hagens, Larkin suggests general manager Don Sweeney could instead offer prospects like Dean Letourneau or Will Zellers alongside defenseman Mason Lohrei. However, the report notes Detroit may only consider a deal involving Minten or Hagens if they aim to stay competitive, leaving any potential trade talks at an impasse.
