The Colorado Avalanche would love what they’re seeing out of Will Zellers at North Dakota — if they hadn’t traded him to the Boston Bruins Zellers is probably only a name familiar to diehard fans, but eventually, he may turn…
Boston Bruins prospect Will Zellers has made an impressive start to his sophomore college hockey season at the University of North Dakota. Through the Fighting Hawks' first two games, the forward leads the team with six points after scoring two goals and four assists, helping guide North Dakota to an early 2-0 record.
Originally drafted 76th overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the third round of the 2024 NHL Draft, Zellers was subsequently traded to Boston. The left-shot center recorded 34 points in 38 games as a college freshman following high-scoring campaigns with Shattuck-St. Mary's and the USHL's Green Bay Gamblers.
