Boston Bruins leaders and coaches have observed significant growth in Fraser Minten's physical strength, skating, and leadership on the ice. Following a seven-year, $50.4 million contract extension signed in September, the 22-year-old center has produced seven points through the first seven games of the season, ranking second on the team behind David Pastrnak.
Head coach Marco Sturm highlighted Minten's improved power and hockey intelligence after moving him to the second line alongside Marat Khusnutdinov and JJ Peterka. Additionally, defenseman Charlie McAvoy and team president Cam Neely included Minten in Boston's core leadership group, praising his evolving two-way game and expanding voice in the locker room.
