Buffalo goes 3-0-1 on their four-game road swing after a 3-2 win over Los Angeles on Saturday…

The Buffalo Sabres completed a sweep of their California road trip with a 3-2 victory against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. Following an overtime loss to Washington, Buffalo shut out the San Jose Sharks and defeated the Anaheim Ducks 7-6 to finish the four-game swing with a 3-0-1 record. Tage Thompson scored two goals, including the late game-winner, while Jack Quinn added his eighth of the season and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 27 shots.
The victory improved Buffalo to 7-4-3 with 17 points, keeping them within striking distance in the tightly contested Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference. Head coach Lindy Ruff commended his team's power play and overall work ethic following the trip. The Sabres now return home to begin a four-game homestand, which opens Wednesday against the Ottawa Senators.
