This former Sabres goalie is a free agent again.

Goaltender James Reimer has mutually terminated his contract with the New York Rangers, becoming an unrestricted free agent less than two weeks after signing with the club. Reimer had been placed on waivers earlier in the week following Joonas Korpisalo's return from injury, and chose free agency over reporting to the AHL.
The 38-year-old netminder made only one appearance for the Rangers, allowing three goals on eight shots against the Los Angeles Kings on October 26 before being pulled in the first period. Reimer previously spent the 2024-25 season with the Buffalo Sabres, recording a 10-8-2 record across 22 games.
