Head coach Lindy Ruff stirs the pot after a subpar effort in a 2-1 loss to Ottawa on Wednesday…

Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff is healthy scratching center Ryan McLeod and defenseman Louis Crevier for Friday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The decision comes after a 2-1 defeat to the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday, in which Ruff criticized the team's effort and execution. Both players had appeared in every one of Buffalo's first 15 games of the season.
Forward Jiri Kulich and defenseman Conor Timmins will enter the lineup to replace McLeod and Crevier. In goal, Buffalo will start Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen against Columbus netminder Jet Greaves. Additionally, the Sabres placed defenseman Jack Rathbone on waivers with the intention of assigning him to the AHL's Rochester Americans.
