The Calgary Flames couldn’t carry their momentum from Friday night’s win into Colorado, falling 5-2 to the Avalanche on Saturday night.

The Colorado Avalanche defeated the Calgary Flames 5-2 on Saturday night in Colorado, snapping the Flames' momentum from a previous win over Seattle. Nathan MacKinnon opened the scoring in the first period before Colorado extended their lead to 4-0 in the second period with goals from Martin Necas, Artturi Lehkonen, and Brock Nelson against Calgary goaltender Arsenii Sergeev.
Calgary attempted a comeback as Joel Farabee and Martin Pospisil scored to cut the deficit to 4-2 early in the third period. However, Colorado secured the win when Lehkonen redirected a shot from Cale Makar past Sergeev to restore the three-goal advantage.
