Calgary Flames prospect Mace'o Phillips scored his first career Western Hockey League goal during the Medicine Hat Tigers' 5-2 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings. Across junior leagues and European competition, several Calgary prospects saw regular season action from September 25 to 30, including WHL players Joe Iginla, Bode Laylin, Jakob Leander, and Spokane Chiefs captain Chase Harrington.
Harrington delivered a goal, two assists, and a fight in his season debut, while Šimon Katolický tallied a goal for the OHL's Sarnia Sting. Overseas, Alan Shaikhlislamov notched two goals across three games for Tolpar in Russia, and Theo Stockselius featured for Sweden's Djurgårdens IF. College-based prospects are scheduled to open their seasons starting October 2.
