Hunter Brzustewicz reflects on off-season, pre-season and the road ahead with the Wranglers

Calgary Wranglers defenseman Hunter Brzustewicz reflected on his off-season preparation, preseason camp, and his ongoing development in the AHL after being cut by the Calgary Flames. Despite splitting time between the NHL and AHL last season, the young blueliner accepted his reassignment with a focused mindset, emphasizing the need to keep improving and earn his next NHL opportunity.

Brzustewicz has recorded one goal and four assists in his first seven games this season while rotating defensive partners with Mike Benning and Jake Livingstone. Alongside fellow reassigned defenseman Brayden Pachal, Brzustewicz is playing significant minutes and aiming for an NHL call-up, while also preparing to face his brother Henry and the Ontario Reign in their upcoming matchup.
