Morgan Frost looked like a likely trade candidate, but Calgary's extension talks raise a question about his future with the Flames.

Calgary Flames center Morgan Frost is the subject of contract extension discussions, according to a report from Pierre LeBrun. While insider Chris Johnston previously identified the 27-year-old forward as a potential trade candidate for the rebuilding franchise, the recent talks suggest the team could explore keeping him.
Old Prof of NHL Trade Talk argues that maintaining Frost could provide valuable offensive stability and support the development of younger talent. Frost contributed a power-play goal and an assist in a recent 6-2 victory against the Seattle Kraken, bringing his season tally to four goals and five assists across 13 games.
