NHL Rumors: Is Kirby Dach Still a Trade Piece for the Montreal Canadiens?

NHL insider Dave Pagnotta addressed speculation surrounding Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach during an appearance on TSN Radio in Montreal. Pagnotta noted that while rumors have linked Dach to Alberta teams like Edmonton and Calgary, Montreal is currently prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt following a quiet training camp.

Pagnotta explained that Montreal possesses strong forward depth, creating roster flexibility if a trade opportunity emerges. However, he indicated that links to the Oilers—where Dach's brother plays—or Calgary's Morgan Frost may simply be outside observers connecting dots, with Montreal preferring to evaluate their roster before making any adjustments.
