Scotia Place: a street-level look at construction progress from late September 2026 (and an off-season snapshot)

Construction is progressing rapidly at Scotia Place in Calgary as the Calgary Flames prepare for their final season at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The venue is being built one block north of the existing arena, with crews preparing the facility ahead of its planned opening for the 2027 season.

Key exterior developments include the installation of glass at the southwest main entrance, structural framing enclosing the northwest corner, and ongoing work on the northeast corner parkade and food hall entrance. Project lead Bob Hunter continues overseeing the development through the final stages of the exterior envelope.
