Mark Jankowski opened the scoring late in the first period before Sebastian Aho, Jackson Blake, and Taylor Hall added goals to extend Carolina's winning streak to four games. Jordan Martinook also scored and added an assist, while goaltender Brandon Bussi stopped 24 shots for the visitors.
Roman Kantserov scored his first career NHL goal on a breakaway for Chicago, and Oliver Moore also found the net. Goaltender Spencer Knight turned aside 34 shots for the Blackhawks, who have struggled to start the season with only one win through their first six contests.
