Five different skaters scored for Carolina, with Mark Jankowski opening the scoring in the first period before Sebastian Aho added a shorthanded tally early in the second. Jackson Blake, Taylor Hall, and Jordan Martinook also found the back of the net to improve Carolina's record to 4-1-1 on the season.

Goaltender Brandon Bussi stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced to earn the victory in net.
