Chicago Blackhawks veteran Tyler Bertuzzi praised 18-year-old rookie forward Anton Frondell, calling him the "complete package" for his forechecking and willingness to battle in dirty areas. Frondell was selected third overall in the 2025 NHL Draft and is slated to center the team's first line alongside Bertuzzi and Patrick Kane for their matchup against the Utah Mammoth.
The rookie is filling the first-line center role while franchise cornerstone Connor Bedard remains sidelined with an injury. Frondell recorded nine points in 12 games during a brief stint last season and is expected to contend for the Calder Trophy during his first full NHL campaign.
