The ban comes following an illegal check to the head of New York Islanders captain Bo Horvat during Thursday's 4-1 loss at UBS Arena. Nazar received a match penalty on the play, which occurred late in the third period as Horvat scored an empty-net goal.

Horvat is currently undergoing concussion protocol evaluation. Nazar will forfeit $68,041.14 under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, missing Chicago's upcoming games against the Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins before being eligible to return on October 15 against the Winnipeg Jets.
