Connor Bedard returned nearly a month ahead of schedule from shoulder surgery to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 5-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday. The 21-year-old captain logged over 21 minutes of ice time and registered an assist on Roman Kantserov's first-period power-play goal.
Kantserov scored twice, while Teuvo Teravainen netted the game-winner with 4:18 remaining. Blackhawks head coach Jeff Blashill praised the chemistry of Bedard's top line alongside Patrick Kane and Kantserov, while defenseman Bowen Byram also earned his first assist for Chicago.
