Chicago Blackhawks captain Connor Bedard advanced his shoulder rehabilitation by taking faceoffs following a morning skate on Saturday. Bedard remains in a non-contact jersey and is not cleared for contact, ruling him out of Chicago's game against the Carolina Hurricanes at the United Center.
Bedard underwent shoulder surgery on July 8 following an offseason crash into the boards. While Frank Seravalli reported Bedard is within a three-week return window, the Blackhawks have not confirmed a timeline as they navigate early offensive struggles without him.
