Put Your Records On: Blackhawks at Islanders

The Chicago Blackhawks visit the New York Islanders on Thursday night, aiming to build on their first win of the season. The Islanders hold a 1-2-0 record after opening their campaign with mixed results, including a 2-1 defeat to the Toronto Maple Leafs, a 6-0 shutout over the New Jersey Devils, and a 5-2 loss against the New York Rangers.

New York's lineup features returning scoring leaders Bo Horvat and Simon Holmstrom, alongside new additions Brayden Schenn, Ondrej Palat, Calum Ritchie, and Victor Eklund. However, the Islanders face key absences, with Mathew Barzal sidelined by a knee injury and defenseman Alexander Romanov out with a torn ACL.
