Avalanche Veterans Reach Two Major Milestones in Same Game vs. Devils

Colorado Avalanche veterans Brent Burns and Gabriel Landeskog each achieved significant career milestones during the team's 5-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils. Burns tallied two assists to reach 950 career points, moving past Erik Karlsson and Chris Chelios for 10th place among defensemen in NHL history. Landeskog recorded a hit during the contest to pass Cody McLeod for the most hits in Avalanche and Nordiques franchise history.

Landeskog's achievement comes after missing three consecutive regular seasons due to a knee injury before returning to regular action. Following the victory against the Devils, Colorado improved its offensive mark to 54 goals across 13 games this season, ranking third overall in the NHL. The Avalanche next face the Calgary Flames to conclude their schedule for the month of October.
