The Colorado Avalanche held a full-team practice on Tuesday before traveling to face Winnipeg and Calgary. Forwards Logan O'Connor and Zachary L'Heureux were full participants after being sidelined since the preseason. Head coach Jared Bednar stated that he expects both players to dress in one of the next two games, allowing the team to return to a standard lineup of 12 forwards and six defensemen.

Colorado also adjusted its power-play units following an 0-for-4 performance against the St. Louis Blues. Nazem Kadri joined the top power-play unit alongside Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Martin Necas, and T.J. Hughes, while Gabe Landeskog moved to the second unit.
