The Avalanche’s Quiet Superstar Is Making A Very Loud Statement

Colorado Avalanche forward Artturi Lehkonen has delivered an exceptional start to his contract year, recording 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points through 14 games. Following a multi-goal performance against the Calgary Flames at Ball Arena, Lehkonen found himself tied for second in the NHL in goals alongside Leon Draisaitl. Despite his elite scoring pace, the Finnish winger remained modest about his offensive output.

Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar praised Lehkonen's persistent work ethic, noting he consistently goes to tough areas around the net and plays the game the right way. The Hockey News argues that Lehkonen's outstanding production and all-around value make a compelling case for Colorado to secure him with a new contract extension.
