The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed defenseman Carson Soucy on waivers, according to Aaron Portzline of The Athletic. The roster move comes shortly after the team activated Dante Fabbro, prompting Columbus to trim down its defensive corps. If claimed, the 32-year-old blueliner will join his fifth NHL organization in three years.
Soucy originally joined Columbus this season following a successful professional tryout. Through seven games with the Blue Jackets, Soucy posted one assist while averaging 14:45 of ice time, primarily skating in a defensive pairing with Erik Gudbranson.
