Matthew Knies has just 5 points in 13 games with the Blue Jackets. We dive into why he isn't producing so far.

Curtis Deem examines Matthew Knies' recent offensive slump with the Columbus Blue Jackets following a strong start. After being acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs in a trade for Kirill Marchenko, Knies registered four points in his first two games. However, he has recorded just one assist over his last 11 contests, failing to get on the scoresheet during a 7-2 win against the Colorado Avalanche.
Despite the scoring drop, underlying analytical metrics show Knies ranks second among team forwards in CORSI percentage (57%) and expected goals for percentage (55.8%), trailing only Kent Johnson. Deem argues that Knies remains effective and engaged, but suggests the forward must shoot the puck more often after generating just 19 shots on goal across 13 games.
