Edmonton found a way to replicate Utah's skating advantage on Saturday and build an early advantage to secure a split in their home-and-home series.

The Edmonton Oilers earned a 6-2 victory over the Utah Mammoth on Saturday night to split their home-and-home series. Connor McDavid opened the scoring just 40 seconds into the contest, followed by first-period goals from Zach Hyman and Mathieu Joseph. Leon Draisaitl also added a breakaway-style goal as Edmonton built an early lead and dominated the neutral zone and board battles.
Kasperi Kapanen contributed strong two-way play, including key penalty kill minutes and a second-period goal that helped chase Mammoth goaltender Karel Vejmelka from the net. Sebastian Cossa entered in relief for Utah, while Tristan Jarry delivered a solid performance in goal for Edmonton despite occasional zone-clearance challenges.
