The Edmonton Oilers begin an East Coast road trip with a Halloween matchup against the New York Islanders. Edmonton enters the contest with an undefeated 5-0-0 road record and a 9-2-2 overall mark, kicking off a demanding stretch of seven games in 12 days. Tristan Jarry has been confirmed as the starting goaltender by head coach Mike Babcock.
The Islanders counter behind standout 19-year-old defenseman Matthew Schaefer, who has led New York to a 7-4-2 start under head coach Pete DeBoer. Schaefer recently scored his third career overtime goal against Minnesota, while Edmonton's Connor McDavid leads the league with 36 points and an active 13-game assist streak.
