When Rasmus Andersson sees his former team struggling through the earliest stages of a rebuild, he understands the frustration. He also knows there’s a bigger picture at play.

Former Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson urged Calgary fans to stay patient as the team navigates a difficult 1-6 start to their rebuild. Speaking from Las Vegas, Andersson noted that rebuilding is a slow process that involves growing pains, stressing that supporters should not expect immediate success while management revamps the roster.
Andersson praised Flames coach Ryan Huska and captain Mikael Backlund, defending the staff's work ethic amid fan criticism. Following the Vegas Golden Knights' 6-2 victory over Calgary, in which Mark Stone scored three third-period goals, Andersson reflected on his nine-year tenure in Calgary and his affection for the Saddledome.
