The Story in 60 Seconds

Florida Panthers winger Brady Tkachuk made NHL history by recording consecutive natural hat tricks, becoming the first player to achieve the feat since Petri Skriko in 1986. Tkachuk scored three straight goals during a 7-3 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday before scoring all three goals, including the overtime winner, in a 3-2 victory against the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday.

The consecutive hat tricks brought Tkachuk's season total to six goals and eight points through eight games following an offseason trade from Ottawa. His brother Matthew assisted on four of the six goals during this stretch, helping Florida move into a second-place tie in the Atlantic Division while Aleksander Barkov and Brad Marchand remain sidelined with injuries.
