Panthers’ Claws and Flaws: Tkachuk leads offensive explosion against Winnipeg

Matthew Tkachuk recorded four assists to lead the Florida Panthers to a commanding 5-1 road victory against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. The Panthers capitalized on special teams with three power-play goals, while goaltender Akira Schmid delivered a strong outing in net to help Florida close out its four-game road trip. The defeat extended Winnipeg's losing streak to six games.

With captain Aleksander Barkov absent, Tkachuk increased his total to 20 points in 13 games this season. Schmid narrowly missed recording a shutout following a video review that determined Jets captain Adam Lowry scored into an open net after a puck mishap behind the goal. Florida will host Winnipeg next in a rematch on Friday.
