Florida’s captain and veteran spark plug are intensifying their recoveries. Paul Maurice confirmed both elite forwards have returned to the ice, targeting a November lineup re-entry.

Florida Panthers forwards Sasha Barkov and Brad Marchand have resumed skating and remain on schedule to return from lower-body injuries next month. Head coach Paul Maurice confirmed that both players returned to the ice on Wednesday, maintaining their six-to-eight-week recovery timelines. Barkov and Marchand will now travel with the team on upcoming road trips while continuing their individual injury skates prior to main practices.
Maurice noted that Marchand is progressing slightly faster than Barkov and could potentially return a few days sooner. Meanwhile, goaltender Jacob Markstrom also skated and is trending toward the shorter end of his 10-to-14-day recovery window following a recent practice injury, while forward Jonah Gadjovich continues to make progress.
