‘It’s time to move on’: Nikita Kucherov’s agent discusses trade request, relationship with Lightning teammates

Nikita Kucherov's agent Dan Milstein confirmed that the winger intends to move on from the Tampa Bay Lightning following his trade request. Speaking on DFO Insider, Milstein stated that things went wrong beyond repair this past summer, though he maintained he remains on good terms with Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois. Kucherov has spent his entire career in Tampa Bay, winning two Stanley Cups.

Kucherov must provide a 10-team trade list per his contract terms and is slated to become an unrestricted free agent next summer. Milstein dismissed negative rumors about team chemistry, emphasizing that Kucherov maintains strong relationships with his Lightning teammates and head coach Jon Cooper.
