The Seattle Kraken are trading Shane Wright to the Nashville Predators for Matthew Wood in a one-for-one deal.

The Seattle Kraken have traded forward Shane Wright to the Nashville Predators in a permanent deal for forward Matthew Wood. Wright, selected fourth overall in 2022, struggled to find ice time and offense in Seattle, posting three goals and four points in 14 games this season after moving to the wing.
Wood, a 21-year-old drafted 15th overall by Nashville in 2023, has recorded one goal and three points through 14 games this season. Both Wright and Wood are slated to become restricted free agents at the conclusion of the season as each seeks a fresh start.
