The Los Angeles Kings have concluded their 2026 training camp and are preparing for their regular-season opener against the Colorado Avalanche in Denver. With regular-season practices underway, the team enters the new campaign with an open goaltending split between Darcy Kuemper and Anton Forsberg, both of whom earned preseason victories against the Anaheim Ducks.
At forward, the Kings enter the season with Quinton Byfield expected to center the top line. Following an injury to Kevin Fiala, Alex Turcotte and Erik Haula are primary internal candidates for the second-line center role, as the club did not add a proven top-six center during the offseason.
