Center Quinton Byfield is slated to serve as the top-line center between Artemi Panarin and Adrian Kempe. Meanwhile, forward Alex Turcotte is positioned to center the second line alongside Mats Zuccarello and Alex Laferriere under head coach Peter Laviolette.
Injuries have opened additional roles, with Andre Lee earning a roster spot following an injury to Kevin Fiala. On defense, Brandt Clarke takes a primary spot on the top power play, while Brian Dumoulin partners with Drew Doughty. Goaltender Anton Forsberg is set to push Darcy Kuemper for increased playing time, as new assistant coach Ray Whitney leads a revamped power-play strategy.
