The Ontario Reign were shorthanded six times, disrupting their rhythm in a 5-2 loss to the Henderson Silver Knights on Saturday night. First period: None
The Ontario Reign struggled with discipline, committing six penalties in a 5-2 defeat against the Henderson Silver Knights on Saturday night. Despite special-teams success, Ontario never established its five-on-five rhythm after surrendering the opening goal for the fourth consecutive game. Two empty-net goals from Mitch McLain and Jakub Demek sealed Henderson's victory.
Joe Hicketts scored on a second-period penalty shot while shorthanded, and Aatu Jamsen added a power-play goal for Ontario. Goaltender Hampton Slukynsky stopped 22 of 25 shots in the loss under head coach Andrew Lord.
