It all fell apart for the Canadiens as the Jets counted four goals in the final three minutes to force overtime, then won it in extra time for a 5-4 final.

The Winnipeg Jets pulled off a dramatic comeback victory, defeating the Montreal Canadiens 5-4 in overtime at the Bell Centre. Montreal appeared in full control after building a 4-0 lead behind goals from Owen Beck, Josh Anderson, and two markers from Cole Caufield. However, the Jets scored four goals in the final three minutes of regulation to force overtime before completing the win.
Brian Wilde writes that Winnipeg deserved the victory, outshooting Montreal 47-22 despite a strong performance from Canadiens goaltender Jacob Fowler. Wilde also questions whether forward Juraj Slafkovsky is playing through an injury due to visibly compromised foot speed, while noting injured forward Ivan Demidov has shed his walking boot but remains roughly a month away from returning.
