During last Saturday’s game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Detroit Red Wings, defenseman Mike Matheson was injured. He hasn't played since and was listed as day-to-day.
Montreal Canadiens defenseman Mike Matheson provided an encouraging update regarding his injury suffered against the Detroit Red Wings. Despite being seen staggering at the airport earlier in the week, Matheson indicated on the show "JiC" that his condition remains day-to-day rather than long-term.
However, reporter Renaud Lavoie noted that Matheson is not expected to play in Saturday night's matchup against the Buffalo Sabres. Defenseman David Reinbacher could potentially make his season debut after rotating with Adam Engstrom during practice.
