The Nashville Predators announced on Tuesday that goaltender Justus Annunen has been placed on injured reserve. In a corresponding roster move, the team recalled goaltender Matt Murray from the Milwaukee Admirals to serve as the backup behind starter Juuse Saros.
Annunen has yet to appear in a game this season due to his injury, leaving Saros to start Nashville's first two contests. Murray, a 28-year-old who previously played in the Dallas Stars organization, joined the Predators system ahead of the 2024-25 campaign and has yet to make his NHL debut for Nashville.
