New Jersey Devils defenseman Seamus Casey will miss eight to 10 weeks after undergoing knee surgery. Head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed the procedure was successful and addressed an injury sustained during a preseason contest against the New York Rangers on Sept. 26.
Casey had been positioned to earn a spot on the Devils' third defensive pairing alongside Brenden Dillon. With Casey sidelined, Declan Chisholm will step into the role as Dillon's right-side defensive partner.
