Dylan Garand stopped 25 shots against Tampa Bay, tying Igor Shesterkin and Cam Talbot for the fewest starts to five career wins. We look at the Lundqvist anniversary symmetry and Garand seizing the Rangers' starting crease.

Dylan Garand stopped 25 shots against the Tampa Bay Lightning to secure his third victory of the season and fifth of his career. The win earned the young goaltender loud chants from the Madison Square Garden crowd on the 21st anniversary of Henrik Lundqvist's first NHL win.
Garand's victory tied him with Igor Shesterkin and Cam Talbot for the fewest starts needed by a Rangers goaltender to record five wins. With Shesterkin sidelined for the season and Joonas Korpisalo also injured, Tom Urtz Jr. notes that Garand has taken over as New York's primary starter.
