Andy Knapp of Blue Line Station ranked the newly unveiled NHL and Fanatics Hometown Remix alternate jerseys for all eight Metropolitan Division teams. The Washington Capitals took the top spot in the division ranking with their Capitol building crest design, followed closely by the Pittsburgh Penguins' Andy Warhol-inspired pop art look and the New York Islanders' revived Fisherman sweater.

The New York Rangers placed fourth, ahead of the Columbus Blue Jackets in fifth and the Carolina Hurricanes in sixth. Knapp ranked the Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils seventh and eighth respectively, criticizing the Devils' jersey as an uninspired retread of their 2024 Stadium Series design.
