Samuel Ersson made 24 saves for his second straight victory as the Senators stuck to their defensive game plan and rallied for two third-period goals in Buffalo.

Michael Amadio scored the game-winning goal with under four minutes remaining to lead the Ottawa Senators to a 2-1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday night. Peyton Krebs had opened the scoring for Buffalo in the second period, but third-period goals from Shane Pinto and Amadio pushed Ottawa ahead to conclude their five-game road trip with a 2-2-1 record.
Goaltender Samuel Ersson stopped 24 of 25 shots for Ottawa to earn his second consecutive victory while Linus Ullmark remains sidelined. Tim Stutzle assisted on Amadio's winning goal, tying Alexei Yashin for fifth on the franchise's all-time assist list, while the Senators outshot Buffalo 30-25 overall.
