On Tuesday morning, owner Michael Andlauer discussed his vision for the downtown site, which he regards as a legacy project.

Ottawa Senators owner Michael Andlauer shared an update regarding the club's proposed new arena at LeBreton Flats, stating that significant progress is being made. Speaking on the Coming in Hot podcast, Andlauer explained that his vision has expanded beyond just an arena into a transformational legacy project for Ottawa and Gatineau, hinting that new public details could emerge early next year.
Andlauer noted productive discussions with the National Capital Commission and revealed advanced talks with the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation for a long-term partnership. Despite challenges with contaminated soil and multi-level government coordination, Andlauer stated he is willing to accept delays of an extra year or two to ensure the district is developed properly.
