Ottowa Senators Announce Linus Ullmark Decision Before Red Wings Game in Detroit

The Ottawa Senators have decided to scratch starting goaltender Linus Ullmark for Tuesday's game against the Detroit Red Wings. Head coach Travis Green confirmed the decision is precautionary after Ullmark suffered an undisclosed day-to-day injury on Monday against the Boston Bruins, where he exited after two periods when Bruins forward J.J. Peterka collided with him.

Samuel Ersson will make his first start for the Senators in net against Detroit, backed up by Jonas Johansson who was recalled from Belleville. The Red Wings will start goaltender John Gibson as Detroit seeks its first win of the season.
