A solid game top to bottom.
The Ottawa Senators secured a dominant 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins, driven by strong penalty killing and two first-period goals from Tim Stützle. Ottawa took full control early on, with Stützle scoring shorthanded on a feed from Michael Amadio before capitalizing on another Bruins turnover to extend the lead. Drake Batherson and Amadio added goals in the second period against goaltender Jeremy Swayman.
Linus Ullmark started in goal for Ottawa against his former club but departed before the third period after a collision with JJ Peterka. Replacement goaltender Sam Ersson conceded a goal to James Hagens following a misplay, but recovered to preserve the win as Ottawa's penalty kill finished a perfect 4-for-4.
