The Story in 60 Seconds

Philadelphia Flyers star Travis Konecny is unlikely to be traded despite recent speculation, according to The Athletic's Kevin Kurz. Even though the Flyers have struggled to start the season, Kurz reported that moving Konecny in the near future is incredibly unlikely. The winger holds a full no-trade clause under an eight-year, $70 million contract extension signed in 2024 and remains committed to the franchise.

Konecny has been limited to five games this season after sustaining an ankle injury on October 8. General manager Daniel Briere is reportedly interested in trading for a center, but the Flyers intend to retain Konecny to address an offense that has averaged an NHL-low 1.67 goals per game across their first 12 matchups.
