The Philadelphia Flyers have signed 31-year-old free-agent winger Michael Bunting to a one-year, $1.2 million contract. General manager Daniel Brière confirmed the move on Tuesday after the team opened the 2026-27 season winless with an 0-2-2 record. Philadelphia sought an offensive boost after being outscored 17-5 through their first four games.
Bunting joins his seventh NHL franchise after previously playing for Arizona, Toronto, Carolina, Pittsburgh, Nashville, and Dallas. Over 418 career games, the veteran forward has recorded 109 goals and 252 points. The Flyers opted for a veteran addition over rushing prospect Cole Knuble from the AHL.
