The Flyers dug themselves out of a deep hole on Tuesday vs. the Blue Jackets, but could not complete the comeback in overtime.

The Philadelphia Flyers erased a three-goal deficit to force overtime but fell 4-3 to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday. Columbus grabbed a commanding 3-0 lead in the opening period with goals from Adam Fantilli, Kent Johnson, and Denton Mateychuk. Noah Cates started the Philadelphia comeback in the second period before Trevor Zegras cut the deficit and Jamie Drysdale tied the game with ten seconds left in regulation.
Despite the late heroics, the Flyers faltered in overtime after a turnover led to an odd-man rush, allowing Kent Johnson to net the game-winning goal. Dan Vladar made 10 stops through the initial overtime pressure before Columbus broke through, sending Philadelphia to a 3-7-4 record ahead of their road matchup against the Washington Capitals.
