The Philadelphia Flyers have loaned forward Jacob Gaucher back to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL following Saturday's loss to the Anaheim Ducks. Gaucher had been recalled as an extra body, but was benched during Saturday's game after taking a third-period penalty that led to the Ducks' game-winning power-play goal.
The demotion clears a roster spot for the Flyers ahead of Tuesday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The team has several injured players nearing returns, including defenseman Cam York, as well as forwards Owen Tippett and Travis Konecny.
