The Philadelphia Flyers have placed veteran forward Garrett Wilson on waivers, the team announced on October 22, 2026. The 35-year-old appeared in two games for Philadelphia this season, recording eight hits and averaging 9:49 of ice time. The move is expected to clear a roster spot and allow the team to reassign Wilson to the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Broad Street Hockey suggests the transaction indicates an injured player may soon return to Philadelphia's full 23-man roster. The Flyers currently have Travis Konecny, Owen Tippett, Cam York, and Rasmus Ristolainen on Injured Reserve, with defensemen York and Ristolainen recently seen skating before team practices.
